Your BobcatCard will be the only card you will need to access products and services on and off campus. To get your new BobcatCard; you only need visit the ID Services office to have a photo and card produced. New students receive their cards upon the start of the Fall semester, and returning students, faculty, and staff can visit the ID Services office to get their new BobcatCards. You must have the new BobcatCard in order to access these new services.

Use your BobcatCard for shopping and dining

Bobcat Buck$ is a convenient, secure purchasing feature for your BobcatCard. This is your prepaid, University-managed, flexible spending account for purchases both on and off campus. Your Bobcat Buck$ account is yours the entire time you are here at Texas State. Your balance will carry over semester to semester, academic year to academic year. Refunds are available upon graduation or official withdrawal from the University.

Use your BobcatCard for banking

Your BobcatCard can also be your Wells Fargo® ATM Card, which can be used to access cash at ATMs nationwide, if you choose to link your BobcatCard to a Wells Fargo College Checking® account. The checking account allows you:

• Debit card point-of-sale transaction at merchants that accept PIN transactions

Wells Fargo also offers their Wells Fargo Membership® Checking account for Texas State staff and faculty.

Your BobcatCard can be linked to a new or existing Wells Fargo checking account just by requesting a linkable card when you have your ID photo taken, and bringing the card to any Wells Fargo branch.
