ID Services- BobcatCard


The Texas State BobcatCard is for student, faculty, and staff use at Texas State University.  These photo ID cards are used for privileged authorization, library use, meal plans, door access, and optional purchasing and banking functions on and off campus.

Please note: You are required to show a valid (not expired) picture ID (driver’s license, passport, or military ID) to obtain a first time BobcatCard as a current semester paid student, current faculty or staff member, or Texas State Affiliate.

The Fall 2023 meal plan portal is open!

The  Meal Plan Portal for Fall 2023 is open for Resident On-Campus meal plan selection. You can view, add, change, and drop (if you are not required to have one as part of a housing contract) your University Meal Plan all from one convenient location. 

Important Date for Fall 2023:

  • On-Campus Residents will have to select a meal plan for Fall 2023 by midnight on July 23, 2023; otherwise the Silver 1 Option will automatically be assigned to your account.
  • Meal Plans begin on August 13, 2023 and end on December 8, 2023.
  • There are no changes allowed beyond the 12th class day (September 6, 2023).

Manage Your BobcatCard

Manage your BobcatCard with GET! We have made it easier than ever to add and manage your Bobcat Buck$ account!  You have the ability to add Bobcat Buck$ to your account, monitor your meal plan usage and transactions, and invite people to deposit to your Bobcat Buck$ account with our new program - GET.  You can even store credit cards online so no having to dig through your wallet every time you want to add Bobcat Buck$.  There is also now no separate registration process.  At the GET site simply login with your University NetID and password!

Has your BobcatCard been lost or stolen? An online reporting system is available for your BobcatCard via GET.

Rollover Meals: How do they work

Interested in adding, changing or dropping a University meal plan: enter the portal to Add, Change, Drop (if eligible) a University Meal Plan.

Interested in purchasing a Dine on Campus Build Your Own Commuter meal plan:  Buy online (Not eligible to be added to student bill).

Bobcat Buck$ are the secure, convenient way to access products and services all over town!  Learn more about Bobcat Buck$, your prepaid, flexible-spending account for purchases on and off campus.

Make a deposit to your Bobcat Buck$ account online: Login to the new GET site with your University NetID and password (no more bulky registration process to go through).  Then add money with a card online, or even set up recurring deposits to keep your Bobcat Buck$ account with funds in them for use.  There is even a native App for free to download for IOS and Android (GET).  Put the power of the web in the palm of your hand with the free GET App.

Department of Education Compliance

This public information is provided to provide full disclosure of financial arrangements between Texas State University and Wells Fargo in compliance with Department of Education regulation 668.164(e). The financial agreement is considered a “T2” relationship as defined by the DOE.

First Amendment to Campus ATM/PIN- Based Debit Card Agreement

Texas State University receives financial support from Wells Fargo for services associated with the BobcatCard to help offset costs.  Students, faculty and staff are not required to open an account with Wells Fargo to receive or use the BobcatCard for other campus services.

Wells Fargo uses information provided to us directly by our customers to identify students with a Wells Fargo Campus Card linked to their accounts.

The Department of Education’s Cash Management regulations 34 CFR 668.164(d)(4)(i)(B)(2), require institutions participating in T2 (Campus Card) arrangements to list and identify the major features and commonly assessed fees as well as a URL for the terms and conditions of each financial account offered under the arrangement.
